Gina holds seat #9 on the commission, serving as a representative of a “Community Based Organization”. She is currently the Associate Executive Director of the Health Education Council, a private non-profit that works to cultivate health and well-being in under-served communities by leveraging the power of collaboration. In her role, she supports the effective development and successful implementation of programs and operations to carry out Health Education Council's mission.
Recently the Council has received funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, to implement the Invest Health Roseville Initiative, a partnership with the City of Roseville to increase safety, walkability, physical activity, access to healthy affordable food, and improve connection to social, health and mental services in Roseville's downtown core neighborhoods.
Previously the Associate Director of the Child Abuse Prevention Center, one of her roles was to provide overall guidance and support to the Birth & Beyond (B&B) Collaborative which operates nine Family Resource Centers in Sacramento County. While living and raising her family in Placer County, she has been selected to serve a second term on the Local Control Accountability Plan Advisory Committee for Rocklin Unified School District and volunteer for several local providers.
