Jessica Waterford is the Coordinator for Placer County Multi-Disciplinary Interview Center, a children’s advocacy center that helps respond to allegations of child abuse. She also serves as one of the centers lead Child Forensic Interview Specialist to conduct trauma-informed and legally defendable interviews. She holds a Master’s of Social Work from California State University Sacramento and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from San Jose State University.
Jessica began her career working with local nonprofits, including KidsFirst, and has over 13 years of experience working with at risk youth in various capacities including foster placement and emergency shelters. She also sits on the board of directors for Roseville Police Activities League, a nonprofit venture that uses various athletic and social-emotional programs to enrich the lives of youth. Jessica has trained hundreds of professionals locally and statewide for the purposes of education, prevention, and intervention of child abuse.
Jessica is committed to advocate for child victims of abuse and finds passion in helping give youth the opportunity to tell their story and have their voices heard.
